Early on David was a missionary in Asia-Pacific while Marie was in Latin America. They were married in 1991.During those early years they helped a church plant in Minneapolis. In 1992 they moved to Ohio to direct the women’s Columbus Teen Challenge. They have also helped plant and pastor two inner-city churches in the Columbus area.
Since 2005 they have served in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama as Missionaries. They have trained and developed Teen Challenge leadership using Teen Challenge and Living Free materials. Their last term was in Panama where they redeveloped the Teen Challenge ministry and incorporated the Living Free ministry to facilitate discipleship within the church for those struggling with addictions, strongholds, and bondage.
Now in Guatemala they will continue to develop restoration & reconciliation ministries, in residential programs, prisons, schools, and family restoration ministries. They hope to add mental health awareness and pastoral counseling training. They desire to partner with the local church in developing compassion ministry to the poor and to see the local church equipped to bring those in bondage out of darkness.
Marie graduated in 3/1991 with a B.S. in Applied Sociology and in 8/2018 started a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at SAGU. David graduated in 5/1991 from North Central University (NCU) with a B.S. in Bible and Intercultural Studies, in 12/2014 from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) with a Master of Organizational Leadership. Is a Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach through BCMMHC, with specialization in Addiction and Recovery.

I grew up going to church, while attending Vacation Bible School, I became aware of my need for salvation from sin and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior as a very young child. Even though I was a very young, I vividly remember asking Jesus to forgive me and be the Lord of my life.
I attribute my Biblical foundation to my mom and three key churches I attended while growing up, two Baptist and one Assembly of God. They taught me to trust in the Lord, about missions and missionaries who went all over the world to share the good news of Jesus. I learned that the Holy Spirit lived in and guided me to help me make good choices. As a result, I have been involved in ministry since I was young.
The Lord began to plant seeds in my heart for ministry and missions as a child, and as I grew my call developed. While in college, my church sent me on a summer mission trip to Mexico City; there the Lord spoke to me. I stayed on for the year and another summer, when I returned home to finish college, I knew I was called to ministry and missions.
My ministry involves leader and pastor training, helping them disciple addicts, alcoholics and people with life controlling problems. I minister alongside my husband at evangelistic events and church services.
To further expand our ministry impact, I am currently working on a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

On a Super Bowl Sunday night, I was invited to go a Spirit filled church. Even though the music was counter cultural (hymns and 70’s worship music) to my heavy metal and acid rock and nothing in the service related to my generation, at the end of the service I gave my life to Christ.
The presence of the Holy Spirit was in the service and I was convicted of my sins and accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I was set free from years of drugs, drinking and a life of sin.
From the time, I received Christ I was involved at church and helped any way I could. I started taking Bible classes, got involved in evangelism, prison ministry, nursing home ministry. In a few months, I started to help teach a class and preached my first sermon around 6 months after I was saved.
Early in my Christian life I received my call to missions, during a service when I was helping with the offering, I felt God speak to my heart. The second year that I was a Christian I took a month-long mission’s trip to Mexico. Afterwards I went to YWAM, Asian Teen Challenge and the Philippines, I was a missionary for two and a half years in Asia Pacific.
